List of safety tips

Bellow is a list of basic safety tips:

  1. Read the warning label on the firework
  2. Light the firework away from your body and in an open area
  3. Back away from the firework after you light it
  4. Make sure that the firework is not aimed at anyone
  5. Observe your state laws and make sure that you are not breaking the law
  6. Always light fireworks on a flat, and hard surface
  7. Never put your head or any other body part above the firework
  8. Never use fireworks inside
  9. Never through or light a firework near someone
  10. Never carry fireworks in your pocket

Some not so obvious safety tips:

  1. Pets hate loud noises and big flashes, so try to keep your pets away from the fireworks.
  2. Before you start try to have a bucket of water just in case of a fire.
  3. If you are wearing loose or dangly clothing it is more likely to catch on fire than jeans and a T-shirt.
  4. You or another person should be the only person shooting fireworks off.
  5. Do NOT drink and than set off fireworks not only are you indangering yourself but you will be indangering others as well.
  6. Keep your fireworks in a safe place. Not in a commonly used room like the living room.
  7. Only buy fireworks from licensed dealers.
