Bellow is a list of basic safety tips:
- Read the warning label on the firework
- Light the firework away from your body and in
an open area
- Back away from the firework after you light
it
- Make sure that the firework is not aimed at
anyone
- Observe your state laws and make sure that
you are not breaking the law
- Always light fireworks on a flat, and hard
surface
- Never put your head or any other body part
above the firework
- Never use fireworks inside
- Never through or light a firework near
someone
- Never carry fireworks in your pocket
Some not so obvious safety tips:
- Pets hate loud noises and big flashes, so try
to keep your pets away from the fireworks.
- Before you start try to have a bucket of
water just in case of a fire.
- If you are wearing loose or dangly clothing
it is more likely to catch on fire than jeans and a T-shirt.
- You or another person should be the only
person shooting fireworks off.
- Do NOT drink and than set off fireworks not
only are you indangering yourself but you will be indangering others as well.
- Keep your fireworks in a safe place. Not in a
commonly used room like the living room.
- Only buy fireworks from licensed dealers.
