Chamberlain

Neville Chamberlain was born in the year of 1869. He attended Rugby and Mason College, and afterwards was sent to the Bahamas where he was a manager for of a sisal plantation. Following that, he returned to Birmingham, and soon was in the prominence in the Conservative Party. In 1937, Chamberlain nearly 70, became Prime Minister. On September 29, 1938, Britain, France, Germany, and Italy signed the Munich Pact, which let Germany have part of Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain said this agreement was "peace in our time." When Hitler took over the rest of Czechoslovakia, Churchill was outraged. The criticism was so bad, that Chamberlain resigned on May 10, 1940, and Churchill took his place. Because of old age and health problems, Neville Chamberlain died on November 9, 1940. He is still remembered today, as one of the great leaders of Britain during World War II.
