Hitler
April 20, 1889, was the birth date of Adolf Hitler. He was not German, but Austrian, since he was born in Braunau, Austria. His father was Alois Hitler, and his mother was Klara Polzl. Adolf moved to Munich in 1913. Hitler fought in World War I, in the German Army, in 1914-1918. Hitler was then imprisoned for treason, and began to write the Mein Kampf. In 1933, he was named chancellor of Germany and began rearming Germany. In between the times of World War I, and World War II, Hitler was thirsty for power. His advisor, Arthur Rosenburg, gave him the idea of blaming all of Germanys problems on the Jewish People. When Hitler invaded Poland, he began World War II. After the war, he committed suicide on April 30, 1945. His famous saying was, "I am insulted by the persistent assertion that I want war. Am I a fool? War! It would settle nothing." He also had some secretive bodyguards who called themselves S.S.
