The Invasion of Poland also known as Blitzkrieg:

You are taking your little brother, on September 1, 1939, to the park, when suddenly you hear gun shots. A loud roaring of machine guns and other weaponry that can be heard from a distance. You know Poland has a large army, but they don’t have up-to-date machinery for war. What could be going on in such a small town as yours? You start to get scared by all the ruckus, so you begin to run as fast as you can home. On your way home you see German troops marching through your town. It has finally happened you think, something historical, something to change the history of the world. This invasion you just experience has just begun World War II, the war to end all wars. As you and many other residents of the world soon find out World War II made an unimaginable affect of the world.
