"The War To End All Wars"

On May 7, 1919, a document, called the Treaty of Versailles, was signed to limit the German people's rights after World War I.  It also said that Germany was to pay for starting World War I and owed the U.S., France, and other countries that participated in World War I billions of dollars.  When Adolf Hitler came around and blamed all of Germany's problems on the Jewish people, who had nothing to do with the beginning of World War I, other citizens believed him because they were so poor and so in depression and debt.   Hitler took over many countries and states.  Finally, on September 30, 1938, Britain and France had Germany sign the Munich Pact saying that he could have part of Czechoslovakia.  Hitler claimed that this would be his last territorial take over, but this became false when he took over Prague.  Then on September 1, 1939, Germany and Italy invaded Poland.  The war had begun!
