About 425 gallons of blood are sent through your kidneys
every day! The urine that goes down the ureters ends up in the
bladder. The bladder stores the urine until it is nessasary to

      The Male Reproductive System

New lives are created using the reproductive system, a group
of organs. This system is different in males and females.
Both male and female systems are needed to create a baby.

In the male reproductive system, sperm cells are produced
in the testes. Millions of sperm cells are ejected through
the urethra, but only one sperm cell fertilizes the egg.
Besides producing sperm cells, the testes produce male
hormones called androgens. When a boy becomes a man, the
androgens allow him to grow a beard and have a deeper
      voice.

      The Female Reproductive System

The sperm cells generated from the man enter the woman
through an opening called the cervix. The sperm cell then
goes into the uterus and then down the fallopian tubes.
The sperm cell and the ovum combine into something
called a zygote. At this point, the woman has become pregnant.
The zygote splits and creates lots of cells. These cells continue
to split and eventually grow into a fetus in the uterus. This
      develops into a baby.
