It was a good site. i could really tell yall put alot of work into it. I dont think anyone else should be doggin it rudly. I just think everyone has their opinions about the original written myths. And besides its not as if these were real anyway their just interesting made-up stories used for entertainment.

Overall it was good but i thought this site also had Roman myths too? What every happened to the stories surrounding Jupiter or Juno? Man that's what i call false advertsting

Yo, you peoples did OK on this site. But you still messed up some stuff. First of all sometimes you put Hercules (roman translation) and sometimes Herakles (Greek meaning: Gloy of Hera). He was Alcmedes and Zues's son not Zues and Hera's. O yeah and Heracles was not given Eternal Life for completing the twelve tasks. He only did that for repentence. He remarried after, but Hera convinced his wife to put a robe on him that she said would keep him ever faithful. This robe actually had poison in it and could never be tooken off. So he built a pillar of fire and lay on it to die. Zues snatched him up before that happened.

I have had a look through some of the criticisms offered about this site and can't believe how childish some people are! Firstly, if you are 'researching' a topic never restrict yourself to only one source of information -how lazy is that? No wonder those kids who were whining said they got bad grades on their work...Secondly, make use of the information sources accessed by the site itself -look in the bibliography and push a few buttons, it doesn't hurt! Try thinking a bit further, for goodness' sake.

I have been having a look around for a site to help my 8yr old son with a homework assignment; not only is your site extremely well set up, well informed, and easily navigable, I want to congratulate you for the good work which my boy cannot believe was presented by 'children' not a lot older than himself. Tino pai rawa to mahi!A good job well done!

I am a teacher exploring Greek myths and legends with my class of 9 year olds.I have been searching various sites for information on Greek gods and goddesses.I was disappointed in your website in that there are so many spelling mistakes in the various texts. This is spoiling an otherwise good source of information.

I'm 11 years old and in 6th grade, and I needed to find out what the Greek synonum to the Roman God Saturn. As I was looking that up I saw that it said that Saturn was the God of Wine. I have recieved LOTS of different info on that. I have been doing a lot of searches, and so far, he is the God of Time, Fertility, Agriculture, and Wine...I don't know what to do my report on now!!!

I promised my ELA teacher some info on Greek Mythology and one of my friends suggested this website. My teacher wouldn't accept it because of all the spelling errors!! You need to have someone spellcheck your writing. Hades is spelled H-A-D-E-S, not H-A-T-E-S. Your information isn't very accurate either. You need more in formation on everything especially Greek Mythology. You need more pictures too. But if need help, I'll gladly join your team.

Your page comparing greek and roman dieties has a few major errors. Saturn is the Roman counterpart to Cronus, the head of the titans and father of many of the major gods. Bacchus is the Roman god of wine, not the Greek god, who is Dionysis (spelling may be wrong). Ceres is the Roman goddess of the harvest (agriculture).

I have a slight problem with your idea that Greek and Roman Myths are the same except for the name differences. The Roman myths are very different due to the very different culture between the Romans and the Greeks. An example of this is Ares the God of War. To the Greeks Ares was very minor, he was made fun of, considered a coward when truly faced with pain, and he was very irrational. Physically he was scrawny, with a weak chin, and very inept at physical fighting. To the Romans war was a very important aspect in every day life owing to Ares's rise in stature in Roman Culture. Ares became blood-thirsty, invinsible, and a master of stategy and the art of war. He became very brave and would never retreat from a fight. The Romans stole much of Greek culture and history, but they made sure to change them to better show their way of life. DO better reseach before you tell people they are wrong. Avary.

This website is riddled with incorrect and misleading information. I have prepared a short and incomplete list of necessary corrections. Corrections to deities Demeter is Ceres not mars, Jupiter/Zeus is the Aegis Holder, this is a shield not a gate. In addition, he is a deity of kingship and a father god. Juno/Hera is normally not considered a mother god, (Gaia and Rhea more likly) she is a marriage deity and a patron of women. Bacchus is not Greek, he is Roman, and Saturn is the Roman version of Kronos Saturn is not a god of wine, he is the king of the titans and the father of Zeus. Minerva/Athena is a warrior goddess, but she is even more closely associated with wisdom then with combat. Corrections to background The Greek religion did not originate in Athens, it was far older in origin. Greece is a nation, and thus a noun, it is not an adjective. The adjective is Greek, and the term Greek person should be used. When Greek myths were taken to Italy, the names of the deities were not changed. The Romans had an existing pantheon that was converted into a more Greek religion, though there are some more subtle differences in the deities.

A few hints: demeter is female, pluto is the ninth planet, on the quiz, do not make the correct answer a different color, and, people who like myths usually aren't attracted to large, slow loading sites that have text so brightly colored you can't read w/out highlighting it. Any flames, e-mail me
