Hi, students!

Welcome to the kids lounge.  This is a place especially reserved for kids. This means that here you can find out what you can do about television violence and fun things to do other than watch TV.

Plus, you can answer a survey to express your opinions on TV violence or talk back to other kids on our message board.  Have fun!

Here's what you can do:

• have others sign a petition protesting television violence
• write letter to television broadcasters expressing your feeling about television violence
• form a group of others who feel the same way about television violence
• write to your congressperson to give them your opinions on the V- Chip
• write a note to your local newspaper editor
• sponsor a no television week
• check ratings before watching programs
• sit down with your parent / guardian and brainstorm with them about how to stop television violence

Organize optional activities for family and friends such as:

• reading
• surfing the web
• play sports
• writing a story
• going on a picnic
• playing on a computer
• taking a walk
• taking a pet for walk
• going on a hike
• going fishing
• draw or paint
• go swimming
• have a no television party
