Poseidon 

Small Children may have a question about where animals such as donkeys, horses, giraffes and camels come from. Well, I may have an answer for you. There is such a myth that Poseidon, one of the twelve main Greek gods, was trying to make a perfect gift for Demeter, whom he was very fond of. Poseidon had been known for making monsters, but Demeter, who was also one of the twelve main gods, wants him to make her a wonderful and beautiful animal. She said that if he wanted her to like him, he would have to do that for her. But Demeter knew that he could not do that so she thought she was safe. When Posiden was trying to make her a wonderful and beautiful animal he had some difficulties. Before he found the right animal he had made a donkey, a giraffe, and a camel. He did not kill those animals he just set them aside. After he had made a horse that is the one that he desided to be for Demeter. She loved it. While Demeter was thanking him the other animals made there way into the world. This may be one of many resons where donkeys, giraffe, camels and hores came from.
