The beginning: Gaea, the Earth, so long ago came from the darkness, nobody knows when. Earth was young and restless. She had nothing to do, for nothing lived on her yet. Above Uranus, the sky was magnificent to behold. They smiled upon each other and were joined by love. Then Earth became mother Earth. All her children loved their father while fearing him, and they adored their warm and bountiful mother.
The Titans: The Titans were the first six children of mother Earth. They were gods and both the sky and Earth were proud. Each Titan took a wife from one of the Titanes, their six sisters. The next three children were the Cyclopes(named-lightning,thunder and thunderbolt). They were strong, but they each had one glowing eye in the center of their forehead. They were ugly but wonderful smiths, and the sparks from their welding lit up the night sky and faded their father's stars.
The next three children of mother Earth were even more despicable than their brothers. They had fifty heads and one hundred arms each. The sky hated these sons of his and he was outraged to see them walking on beautiful Earth. He took them and their brothers, the Cyclops, and threw them into the deepest, darkest pit in the land.
Mother Earth loved her children, and she could not bear to see them locked up. She fashioned a sickle out of the hardest metal, and she called her sons, the Titans, to kill her evil husband. All resisted except for the youngest, but strongest, who took the weapon in his hand. Uranus could not withstand the sickle wielded by his strong son and fled, giving up his powers.
