The Minotaur is a monster that is half man, half bull. The Minotaur lives in the Labyrinth. The Labyrinth is a man made maze. Every nine years the king of Athens must send seven of his most beautiful maidens, and seven of his best soldiers to be the Minotaur's food supply for the next nine years. If the king of Athens does not send the maidens and soldiers, the king of Crete will attack.

Griffin is combined with nature's two fiercest creatures.The front of it looks like an eagle with wings. It has a beaked head and clawed front feet. It also has the bottom of a lion , the hind legs of a lion, and the tail of a lion.Greeks say he is the guardian of ancient treasure.
