Dogs can be used for many things in our world today. The police force uses dogs. Dogs can be used to try to sniff out illegal drugs. Dogs can also be used in the police force by finding bodies in a building  destroyed by a tornado or a earthquake. Dogs can be used for entertainment. Dogs can participate in dog shows. Dogs can go hunting with their guardian. They can retrieve things that the guardian shoot. Dogs can help people that are blind get to places that they need to be. Dogs can keep livestock in its owners territory. In some parts of the world dogs can help people pull sleds. People can have dogs a pets. That not only gives the animals shelter, but it gives the dog a place for food and to become a part in a family. Dogs can be used to guard property.
 
 

       One thing to remember when you are looking for a dog , for a special reason. If you want a seeing eye dog, you can't just enlist your little terrier. Dogs for this job need to be smart, have good hearing , and good seeing.
