Rhea and Cronos, two of the six Titans, married and had four children. Cronos would eat each child the moment Rhea gave it to him. He would do this because he was afraid one of the children would cut him into pieces. Right before Rhea gave birth to the fourth child, Gaia, Rhea and Cronos's mother warned Rhea of what Cronos was doing. So Rhea wrapped a rock in a blanket and gave it to Cronos who, of course, ate it.Rhea raised the young god in secrecy and named him Zeus. When Zeus was older he gave a potion to Cronos that made him regurgitate the other three gods. When they came out they were full grown. These gods were Poseidon, Hades, and Hera.
