 The gold was buried with the Pharoahs because they thought that that they would need it for the Land of the dead. The soldiers were buried with them to protect the Pharoahs if needed. The Pharoahs needed the Nobles, children, and builders because they would help the King get through the journey to the land of the dead. The boat is in there because the kings and Pharoahs can use it in the Underworld.
