Hi! My name is Shantel, I am 12 years old, and I am a 6th grader at August Ahrens School. My favorite subject is social studies (history). I like social studies because I like to learn about the past and about how my ancestors lived. My favorite colors are yellow and orange. My hobbies are listening to the radio, talking on the phone, and collecting Winnie the pooh things. My favorite sports are football and basketball. My best friends names are Zsalei and Kristen, and man, I wish there were more people in this world that are like them.Why well because I can put my trust in them, they are nice people, and they have a great sense of humor!

I think the best thing about Hawaii is that most of my family live here. So that means that I get to spend time with them and we also get to do a lot of things together.

I am also the Tech Club Vice-President. And I would really like to give a lot of thanks to Mr. Mesina for all that he has done for me!

Hello! I'm Jonelle and I'm 12 years of age. I attend the largest elementary school in Hawaii, August Ahrens Elementary school. At school I'm very active like president of Tech Club and Recording Secretary for Student Council. My favorite hobby is dancing hula. I dance for Halau Hula 'O Hokulani everyone there is nice to me. I like Spam musubi as my favorite food. My favorite sports are soccer and volleyball. My favorite fruit is bananas because it makes my body strong and I feel a lot better. I like the school that I go to because everyone comes from different ethnic groups from around the world.

The best thing about living in Hawaii is because we don't have cold weather and so we can do a lot of things outdoors. The people here in Hawaii are very nice and friendly.

Hello! My name is Zsalei and I attend August Ahrens Elem. I have an older brother and a sister. I have a couple of birds, a dog, and three turtles. My favorite food is somen, animal is turtle, color is blue, silver, and yellow, hobby is to hangout a lot with my friends but my best friend is Shantel & CiAnna. I like school but not a whole lot. I don't like pizza that much nor cockroaches or spiders, I don't like bad grades or hard homework even though its a challenge, when I'm frustrated with a game I like to lose, and I don't like the color red. I am a total junk food eater and I love animals. Most of all I like Tech Club.

My name is Valerie. I'm 11 years old. I have two brothers, three sisters, a mom, a dad, and three dogs. I live in Waipahu, Hawaii and I'm currently attending August Ahrens Elementary. I am a member of the Technology Club and a class representative in Student Council. In Tech Club, I like surfing the net, working with the video cameras, and working on the computers. In Student Council, I like to do activities for the school. I like soccer, basketball, and volleyball. The games I like to play are dodge ball and many more. I mostly play with my cousins at home. The best thing I like about Hawaii is the food, good weather, and we get to pop fireworks in the New Year. I like Hawaii because it is different than other states in the U.S.

My favorite foods are local island food and seafood. I love to play volleyball and tennis when I have the chance. One thing that I love about Hawaii is the beaches.

You never know what you'll find at every beach. Another thing that I love about Hawaii are the malls. The two popular malls in Hawaii are Pearlridge and Ala Moana.

I got involved when our Tech Club teacher Mr. Mesina chose me, and some other students because we all had high scores on our internet test and also I think that he wanted some of the fifth graders to feel how it is on the internet.

My name is Paul. I am 11 years old and in the 5th grade. I am in two clubs at school. I am in Student Council and is in Tech Club. My favorite colors are blue, green, and purple. My favorite food is pizza. In my family I have four sisters and five brothers. The best thing I like about Hawai'i is its hot weather and its nice and windy beaches. I like the hot weather because I can just walk out of my house without putting on lots of clothes just to keep warm and I like the windy beaches because I just like them.
