Both sets of our grandparents came to the Kingdom of Hawaii in the early and late 1870s
They went to Maui, lived in "Upcountry" Makawao areas
they left the plantation life as soon as the Contract was completed, and never looked back.
As kids we all worked in the canefields/pineapples fields, where we saw all the things depicted here. Mahalo for a job well done!
