Sperm Whale

Most Sperm Whales live in tropical and temperate waters, but some males live in the polar seas during the summer.  They mainly eat cuttlefish and squid.  Sperm whales grow up to 60 feet long.  The babies are about 13 feet long.  The sperm whale has between 36 and 60 teeth, some of which are 8 inches long.  It has 1 baby at a time.  The sperm whale is endangered because it is hunted for its fat.  The International Whaling Committee outlawed all whaling in 1986.
