SEALS

Seals live mosty in the Northern Hemisphere.  The largest kind of seal is the elephant seal.  It can grow to be as large as 21 feet long and could weigh 8,000 pounds.  The smallest seal is the ringed seal of the Artic.  This Artic seal is about 4 1/2 feet long and weighs around 200 pounds.  Seals are very graceful in the water but seem clumsy on land. Seals usually have 1 pup, the pup can swim or travel on land as soon as they are born.  Seals are hunted.
