Hawksbill Turtle

    The Hawksbill Turtle lives in the tropical and subtropical seas.  It likes bays and lagoons.  It lives in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans.  It eats plants and meat, such as,  fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and algae.  It grows up to 3 feet long.  It is known as an aggressive turtle, it eats everything in sight.  The females tale is very short, but the male's tale can grow up to 4 inches long.  It is hunted by humans for its very valuable tortoise shell.  The Hawksbill turtle is being protected because it is not allowed to be killed or imported, and the eggs are not allowed to be collected.
