Blue Whale

The Blue Whale lives in all of the worlds oceans.  They eat tiny crustaceans called krill.  It is 85 to 100 feet long and weighs about 100 tons.  The Blue Whale has been hunted for its oil since the end of the last century.  The Blue Whale can shoot a jet of water that is 30 feet tall into the air through its blowhole.  The International Whaling Committee is protecting the whale in some places banning hunting of the Blue Whale, but it is still being hunted in others.
