The Backpack Gang...*

Hi, my name is Michael and I am 10 years old. I am in the fourth grade and help our computer teacher at my school with our computers. Two of my friends and I are Technology Assistants, and we decided we wanted to learn more about designing web pages. Our computer teacher told us about the ThinkQuest Jr. Project. We have worked hard on our project and hope you enjoy our website. Please let us know all about you by telling us your favorites. We hope you have fun learning about kids and famous places around the world.

Hey!!  My name is Patrick.  I'm ten years old and I'm a fourth grader here in North Carolina.  I really like school, but one of my favorite things, as you can guess, is computers.  I'm one of the BACKPACK GANG and I get to assist our technology teacher with a lot of computer things.  My classroom teacher let's me help demonstrate on computers for my homeroom too.  It's been awesome learning a lot of new things, as we have designed and worked on our web site.  For me, the brainstorming was the hardest work, but it sure was fun when we came up with a plan that got us all excited.  I have an older sister, Katie.  She's ok for a teenager, but you know how that can be.  I love my pets and I have of lot of them...my bird Sarge (he sings the Andy Griffith Song), my dog Kip (she looks like a fox, but she's a couch potato), my cat Peaches (she's thirteen), my guinea pig Tootsie (who thinks she's human) and my mom's class pet rabbit Oreo (she's nice, but messy)!  I'm good at school, but I also love sports.  I'm also a gym rat I guess, because I love all kinds of sports...baseball, racquetball, basketball, in-line hockey, and football especially.  I like to read adventures and mysteries.  I haven't traveled to a whole lot of places so I like looking at the postcards that are sent in.  I hope that other kids around the world will take a trip with me and my friends by visiting our website.  I hope to continue to learn more about computers.  That's me in a nutshell. 

Hello. My name is Tyler and I love Pokemon cards and Pokemon the game. I have a family of four, and I'm ten years old. My brother is 19 and in college. His college is Clemson. My favorite sport is football. My favorite football team is the Atlanta Falcons. I really love computers!! The first time I touched a computer was when I was.... really little I guess.
