Eleanor was born in 1884. She was not a very happy child, she was shy and never comfertable with her appearance. For lots of her childhood she lived with her stern grandmother.She started to enjoy life at age 15 when she went to school in England. There she loved making people happy. When she finished school later in 1905, she married her distant cousin Franklin Delano Roosevelt. They had 6 kids and one of them died as an infant.
Her husband got paralized, and his carer seemed over, but she convinced him to continue polotics.When her husband became president in 1932 she got more chance to make people happy.
Eleanor visited many places and found out what people were king about, and she reported it to the president.
She worked to correct many of America's
social and economic problems. She also faught against
racism. She had a black friend, and wouldn't
obey the lay that prevented her from sitting
withe her friend. When the police comfronted
her she moved her chair and sat between the
with and black section. She helped people
all throughout her life. She became a delegate to
the United Nations after World War 2.
For the rest of her life, she still continued to
fight for the civil rights of a Amaricans.
