Well, the desert iguana only lives only in Mojave and Sonoran desert of southeastern California, southern Nevada and western Arizona. Their habitat, or where they live is in arid, sandy deserts among the scattered rocks and the big Creosote Bushes.

The full- grown iguana is 10 to 16 inches long with a large, round body and a very long tail. It is colored brown around the head which changes into a reddish brown netlike pattern. It has tan or gray spots on it’s neck and nose. It’s tail is gray and white with rows of dark spots! The adults have a pink hue on the side of their belly during the breeding season, which is April and May.

A handful of 3 to 8 eggs is laid June and July, with the young ones appearing in August and in September.

The desert iguana, is a cute lizard that will climb into bushes looking for cooler areas in really hot days, but it will remain active when temperatures are as high as 115 degrees F.

If you want a desert iguana for a pet than you must live in southern California, southern Nevada, or western Arizona then you can have on if your parents let you. You must also have the right food, water and shelter. I hope you've learned something from my page. Bye!!!!!!!
