Dracula is a vampire-- a corpse that comes to life at night and attacks people for their blood. Dracula is based on a person called Vlad Tepes who killed many Turkish people in the fourteen hundreds. Over a hundred savage murders were soon found out. Vlad Tepes is from a region in Romania called Walachia. Dracula is the master of all vampires. In one book by Bram Stoker called Dracula his new victim search leads to England.  There he pursues two young women that go by the names Lucy Westenra and Mina Murray. In turn he gets haunted by Mina's fiance, Jonathan Hurker, and by Abraham Helsing, an authority on vampires. The two men finally destroy Dracula.  Vlad's nickname meant son of a devil or son of a dragon.
