AFRICAN LIONS live on open grasslands, savannas, desserts, dry forests and woodlands. They feed on wildebeests, zebra, buffalo, topi, hartebeests, and warthogs. Female African Lions give birth every two years and females usually give birth to 2-3 cubs and sometimes even 4! They live about 10-12 years in the wild and 20years and up in the zoo. The size of an average full grown lion varies from 7.9 to 9.5 feet and weigh from 265 to 420 lbs.
