The teachings of Islam actually go all the way back to Abraham from the bible.  Abraham had a son with his wife named Isaac and one with his wife's maidservant named Ishmael.  Isaac went on to basically found the Jewish religion and Ishmael went on to found the Islam religion.  Actually Christianity, Judicem, and Islam believe in many of the same things though not in the same way. The main teaching of Islam is:, " There is no God but God, and Muhammad is his prophet."  You are all probably wondering who Muhammad actually is.  Well Muslims believe that he was the last major prophet of Islam.  They say when he was about 40, God spoke to him.  God dictated him to write a book about his message.  It is known as the Koran.  When Muhammad taught, the people of Mecca got so mad that they drove him out of the city of Mecca.  This is taken as the beginning of Islam.  Later he returned to Mecca and had so many followers that he took the city by

Desert Storm

Although Desert Storm was not a war, American troops did fight with Iraq. Iraqi troops invaded Kuwait and were dangerously close to Saudi Arabia where a lot of our oil comes from. So we decided to stop them and our soldiers were sent to Kuwait to keep them away from Saudi Arabia.  Because we are so much more technologicly advanced than Iraq, we stopped the invasion of Kuwait in just a couple of weeks.  France was one of the main countries selling weapons to some countries of the world, but after Operation Desert Storm they soon learned their technology very ineffective against us.
