MARK TWAIN        (1835-1910)

  Mark Twain, also known as Samuel Clemens, was born in 1835 in the town of Florida, Missouri.  Mark was a very busy man throughout his life.  One of his first jobs was  a steamboat pilot which lasted until the Civil War in America.  After this job, he started his writing days as newspaper reporter in 1863.  Between 1870 & 1890, Twain wrote his most well known books.  These books were,"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn","The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,"The Prince & the Pauper" and,"A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court".
