Jack    London
(1876-1916)
Born in San Francisco in 1876, Jack London started his life of fame. He mostly educated himself through childhood, leading him to an adventurous life. Before Jack turned 20, he had already been a hobo, a sailor, and an adventurer of the Klondike.

From his Klondike experience Jack started writing adventure books.  His first book, "A Daughter of the Snows" led to "The Call of the Wild," "White Fang," The Sea Wolf," "The Game," "Before Adam," "The Iron Heel," "John Barleycorn," and "The Rover."

Jack London's writing makes him one of our favorite American author of his time. The sad part is that Jack's time was short, because he died at the age of 40 in 1916.
