Rudyard Kipling
1865--1936
Rudyard Kipling was born in India in the year 1865. Kipling was an English
author, whose popular works interpret India in many ways. Some of his work
was romantic like his poems, "Mandalay," "Gunga Din," and "Recessional."
Other famous poems of his are in: "Department Ditties," and " Barrak-Room
Ballads." His famous stories include: "Plain Tales From the Hills," "Soldiers
Three," ,"The Light That Failed," and children stories such as,"The Jungle
Book," "Captains Courageous," and "Kim." In 1907, he received the Nobel
Prize in literature.
