Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
1859-1930

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was one of the best authors of his time mostly because of his well known character "Sherlock Holmes." Doyle's "Holmes and Watson" mystery stories were followed by hundreds of readers each day.  He became famous with his stories, "A Study in Scarlet," "The Memories of Sherlock Holmes," "The Hound of Baskervilles," and other Holmes short stories.  "The White Company" and "A History of Spiritualism" were Doyle's historical romance stories.  Sir Arthur Conan Doyle died in 1930 but his characters, Sherlock Holmes & Dr. Watson will always be remembered in the history of mysteries.
