MARS

This is the status of the planet of Mars.
Mars is sometimes called the Red Planet because it shines with a reddish-orange color. A day on Mars is about equal to one Earth day. A year on Mars is equal to 687 Earth days. Mars is 1/7 of the size of Earth.
The surface of mars has craters, mountains, volcanoes, plains, and valleys. In fact, it looks something like the surface of our moon! There are many long wind storms on Mars. They are so powerful that it could blow your car over!
