Ingredients: 
  • 1 large egg 
  • 2 slices of boiled ham 
  • 2 slices of cheese
  • 2 lettuce leaves 
  • a bunch of chives 
  Tools:
  • 1 toothpick 
  • a pan 
  • a timer 
  • a knife 
  • 1 apple corer 
Directions:
  1. Put the egg in a pan and cover it with cold water.

  3. Bring the water to a boil and set the timer to 10 minutes. 

  4.  
  5. When the egg is done, remove it and run some cold water over it for a  few seconds.

  7. Tap the egg gently on a hard surface to crack the shell.

  9. When the egg is cool remove the shell and cut it length-wise.

  11. Cut one 1/2-inch-wide strip of ham and one small triangle.

  13. Use the apple corer to cut out two circles of ham.

  15. Cut the tips off of twelve sprigs of chives. Set aside four whole chives.

  17. To make the ears use the paring knife and make two holes in the top of the egg half.

  19. Then place a folded circle of ham in each hole.

  21. To make the tail cut a 1/2-inch-long slit in the larger end of the egg half and insert the strip of ham in the slit.

  23. To make the nose, cut out a very small triangle of ham and place it in the center of the smaller end of the egg half.

  25. To make the eyes, use the end of the toothpick to make two holes under the ears in the egg half.

  27. Gently insert a sprig of chive in each hole.

  29. Then trim it so that only a small piece of chive sticks out of each hole.

  31. To make the whiskers, use the toothpick to make three small holes on either  side of the mouse's nose .

  33. Gently insert a cut of chive in each hole.

  35. Trim the pieces of chive to about an inch long.

  37. Cut some small circles and triangles of cheese and arrange it on a plate with a  lettuce leaf around the mouse.

  39. Then act like a cat and gobble up the mouse!!!
