FRACTALS Graphics!

By Nick

Above: The Mandelbrot Set

The Mandelbrot Set is a fractal created on a graph using 2 numbers. Each number is made up of 2 parts, a real and an imaginary part (even though the imaginary is just as real as the real part). Somebody just decided to call it that, for some reason that I am not aware of. It uses a different kind of iteration process that is based on the numbers. You can NOT do any part of this fractal by hand! You would have to do so many calculations, a computer would be needed. See the download section (see quiz for details) to get some programs to make Mandelbrot set images!

And MORE Mandelbrot!

All of the non-mandelbrot images were from the GREEN BEANS site on Hotline, filled with science and math.
