Why Swiss Cheese Has Its Holes

Swiss cheese has holes because when the cheese is being processed, bacteria is added to it. When the cheese is being aged, the bacteria makes its way into the cheese. Then the bacteria eat the cheese which forms a little circle. Eventually the bacteria die. That is why Swiss cheese has its holes!
