We again drew our pictures in hyperstudio and typed our research in the web program that we were using, Page Mill.
We took all the information we had in the "How Our Hawaiian Islands were Formed" Hyperstudio stack and changed into a web page.
The images were turned into an animated gif by placing it in a gif builder.
We thought the project was completed but we wanted to do more and decided to add more sections to our site. It was an easy decision because we already had research on each of the major Hawaiian Islands.
Other sections that we decided to add were mo'olelo (Hawaiian legends), Island Tour (Island Research), geothermal energy, pictures, and a game based on the story, "How the Hawaiian Islands were Formed."
We brainstormed ideas on what we wanted to game to be. We knew that we wanted it to be a question and answer game. We also wanted it to test a persons knowledge of geography.
In our classes we were studying Hawaiian legends about the Volcano Goddess, Pele, so we came up with a story based on this goddess. Then we went back to the story, "How the Hawaiian Islands were Formed," and came up with questions based on that story.
