We were happy with what the project looked like so far but we wanted to add something else to it. We decided to try to animate each of the card by changing just a small portion of the picture and moving it a little.
Creating the animation took a long time and we had to give up a lot of recesses to get it done.
We were now able to record our voices to go with the pictures. We had to record our voices several times because we made a lot of mistakes when reading the story.
We finished the Hyperstudio project of "How Our Hawaiian Islands were Formed" and showed it to our school.
We heard about a contest called Think Quest Junior and decided that we wanted to turn our geology project, "How Our Hawaiian Islands were Formed" into a web page for the contest.
We didn't know how to create a web page so our teacher had to teach us. The first thing we did was create a simple web page about ourselves. We learned how to make graphics in Hyperstudio and copied it into our web page. We also learned how to link pages, add text, change backgrounds, and fonts.
To get more practice we researched each of the major Hawaiian Islands and turned it into a web page.
