About Myself

Hi. My name is Brant. I live with a family of four. I enjoy sports and just doing what normal kids do. My favorite sport is soccer. I play for a competitive team that plays all year long. We also travel to tournaments. I also enjoy playing baseball and basketball. In baseball, I am mainly catcher. But in basketball I don`t have a main position. Bike riding is also a hobby of mine. I don`t do it for a sport, but for fun. One of the winter sports that I like is skiing. My family usually goes to Colorado every year. I ski the easy and intermediate slopes. I`ve thought about trying ski boarding next year. That`s pretty much all for sports. In school my favorite subject is math, but I also like science. I like math because I love to problem solve. I like science because you get to do lots of experiments and the information is really cool. I also like reading books, but I do not like the subject much. Out of school, I enjoy being with my friends. In the summer our family always tries to go to the amusement parks in our area. I enjoy them a lot. My favorite rides are the roller coasters. The thrill is what makes it exciting. My family has two dogs. Their names are Beau (the boy) and Sassy (the girl). They are fun to play with. One of my other enjoyments is nature. I like going on trails in the woods and trails along the river. I get to experience the woods at a cabin we have. It is at the top of a hill with a big lake at the bottom. There are many acres to explore, and you never know what you will find. I have found arrowheads and cow skulls. Besides nature, I have started liking computers more because of making the web page. I hope you enjoyed learning about myself and what I enjoy the most.

About The Project
|
The Amazon Rain Forest is what my team did our project on. We were brainstorming and just happened to come up with The Amazon Rain Forest. We had many other good ideas, but felt that if we chose this, our project would be more productive. So we chose it and went about making our web-site. For the first few weeks we got information and resources. Then, once we had all of our information, we put it into words. This ended up being all of our writing that you can find on the site. Then we designed the home page and what all the pages would look like (all of these were sketches.) Then we started to put stuff on the web and, "Voila`!", our web-site was produced. We were proud of our final product that you are using right now. Our group hoped it would be a successful web-site and people would enjoy it. I personally did the part on climate. It consists on three parts that are precipitation, temperature and effects. All parts tell about the weather (climate) that takes place in the Amazon Rain Forest. One of the most unusual categories is effects. It tells how the Amazon affects us or places around it. If you think about it, all the parts have some of that category. I think that the project has turned out to be a big success. If I ever did another web-site again, I would want to make it better than this. But for the first web-site we have ever made, I think we have done a good job. All the people in our group have worked very hard and have learned many things. Our only goal wasn`t just to teach you and make a good web-site - we also wanted to learn. Not only did we learn about the Rain Forest, we also learned about how each other works. I personally think we all work much alike. One of our techniques was to do everything the winning team did last year, plus more. So I give credit to the team that won last year for inspiring us to make a web-site like yours. Their web-site was about J. J. (a whale) and how he was rescued. There were also many other web-sites we looked through to get ideas for our own. It has been a wonderful experience, and I hope to do it again next year.
