| Asteroid Theory |
| By: Danny |
| About 65 million years ago, it was curtains for all the dinosaurs, big and small. It was the end for the dinosaurs because of a cataclysmic event, or in other words, a sudden and violent change in the earth's crust. |
| The earth's atmosphere turned an asteroid red-hot. Much of the asteroid burned away, but it was still six miles wide. The crater it created was approximately 120 miles wide. |
| Many volcanos erupted around the world, killing off many of the dinosaurs and plants in the area. The dust from fires, volcanic eruptions, and the asteroid impact blocked much of the light needed by the plants. The herbivores, or plant-eaters, died from lack of plant life. There was smoky air, and floods from gigantic sea waves created by shock waves from the asteroid impact. |
