| Whales come in all different kinds. Most whales don't live a long life. The sperm whale can sometimes live sixty years or more. The whales are air breathing creatures which means they don't have gills. Most whales die because of predator attacks, parasites and diseases, whale stranding, hunting, and subsistence whaling. The whales are mostly killed for their blubber and oil. Most whales eat plankton. They also hunt for their food. |
