The beaver is a mammal.  It is a rodent or gnawing animal.   The beaver can be found all over North America from Mexico to the Arctic region.  A beaver is furry with a tail that looks like a paddle.  They are known for cutting trees with their teeth.  They eat bark and use logs and twigs to build a dam.  Beavers seem to always be working.  Beavers live about  twelve years.  Beavers have between two to four babies.
