| There are two
different kinds of sloth, one is the two-toed sloth and the other is the
three-toed sloth. It is obvious to tell them apart, just count their
toes. The sloth is a very, very slow creature. It is related
to monkeys. Just like monkeys, they like trees. In fact they
come down only once a month just to urinate and defecate. That is
because their digestive system works real slow. When it rains in
the rainforest, the sloth gets wet and stays wet for a while. This
makes his fur a golden color and also allows algae to grow on it so it
blends in with the trees. |
