Jaguar Title

The jaguar is the largest, most powerful wild cat of the Western Hemisphere.  They live only in Mexico and South America.  Until the early 1900's they also lived in Arizona, Southern California, New Mexico and Texas.  Jaguars measure from 5 to 8 1/2 feet  long.  They weigh from 150-300 pounds.  A jaguar has golden or yellowish fur and many black spots.  Male and female jaguars only live together in the mating season.  The cubs live with their mothers until they are about two years old.
