| Howler monkeys can be found in tropical rainforests in southern Mexico and southeastern Brazil. A howler's roar can be heard from as much as 2 miles away. They roar at dawn to tell other monkeys where they are. They also roar when they are disturbed. They weigh about 12 to 20 pounds and grow up to 2 feet. Their tail is also 2 feet. Howlers move slowly through the trees, eating as they go. They often move by their tails and have reddish fur. |
