Places I've Been
Iowa
My grandma and grandpa Holliday live in Iowa.
I don't get to visit them very often. I wish they lived closer. With
my grandma I like to go to auctions and garage sales. My grandpa can carve
anything he wants. He gave us a tall bird carved out of wood.
It looked like a real bird. He carves people out of wood. I love my grandma
and grandpa.

Wyoming
I love going to Wyoming because my cousins live
there. There names are Adam, Zach, Jared, Daniel, Jessica, and Sarah. My
Aunt Becky is my mom's sister and my uncle's name is Lloyd. My uncle and
some of the boys call me 'Hey Ray.' A long time ago, we went to a
magic show. There was a real tiger. The magician did lot's
of tricks that scared us. We had a very fun time. I love
going to my cousins' house.

Virginia City, Nevada City
I went to a ghost town called Virginia City. We
went to lots of stores and bought souvenirs. We bought some pretty
polished rocks from a vending machine. We went on an old fire truck.
We went on a tour. My favorite store was the candy store. There
were boxes and boxes of candy. My mom only let us buy a few pieces
of candy. We were going to have a picnic outside, but it started
to hail. So, we were all squished in our van. My grandpa and dad
wanted mustard on their sandwich, but we lost it in the van. So they
had to have mayonaise.
Right by Virginia City is Nevada City. It
is very little. We went in an old hotel. My favorite part of Nevada
City was panning for gold. We found a little bit of gold. In
the store we each bought a diamond ring and a polished rock. We also
found lots of garnets. A garnet is a teeny little red rock. It was a lot
of fun.
On the way back to our house, we went to Quail Lake.
There was an avalanche there. We found and kept lots of pretty rocks
while my dad and grandpa stayed in the van. We had a fun time. I hope I
can make the trip again.

Kansas
I have been to Kansas City. The airplane ride
was fun. We were on our way to Grandma and Grampa Holliday's.
We were able to rent a white car. We had to be careful not to get the car
dirty because we had to return it. We were driving to my grandmas,
but my dad rented a van to drive to his sister's house in Utah. We
met our grandpa and grandma at night when it was dark. I love going
to my grandma and grandpa's house. Going to Kansas was fun.

Utah
I went to Utah to see my cousin, Nathan. He
had just returned from the Phillipines. He gave my aunt a jewelry
box made out of leaves. I was very happy to see him. He had just
missed seeing his brother leave for Peru. What a bummer! He will
go four years without seeing his brother, Jason. I miss Jason alot.
