Rexburg hosts the Idaho International
Dance Festival every year. My family has hosted dancers since I was
little. I think it is very much fun because you get to meet new people
from different countries. You get to know them well. You learn
what kinds of dances they do. You learn about their languages and
countries. It is very much fun.
I get to go to all of the events.
My favorite events are Youth Culture Day, the Parade, the performances,
and the Opening Ceremonies. The Opening Ceremonies are outside in a big
stadium and the fireworks are TERRIFIC! On Youth Culture Day, you
get to learn some of their dances. Last year, I went to the one taught
by the people from Togo. I love, love, love their costumes.
They are beautiful and colorful.
Last year, we were suppose to host
Antigua, but they didn't come. I was very disappointed. We
had an empty bus, so we picked up Togo from the Salt Lake Airport.
