Corkscrews

By 1980, some types of the corkscrew had been invented.  One coaster design company added two reverse points.  On a shuttle loop, riders are catapulted forward and backward through a 61-foot high vertical loop, and endure near plunges of two 140-foot high, reverse points.

The second variation of the corkscrew is the vertical 360 degree loop, which flips riders completely upside down!  Spin-offs of the vertical loop include boomerang flips, triple loops, bow tie shaped loops, and the double barrel loops.
