| The word "extinct" means there are no more on the whole planet. (Earth) Do you ever see dinosaurs walking on the sidewalk? That is why. They are gone. You will never see them in your life. That includes Lion Dogs and Dodo birds too! |

| Lion Dogs are dogs that look like lions, but nicer and smaller. Lion Dogs wouldn`t come up and kill you like real lions. People did think they were baby lions, so they killed them. Until they figured out they were dogs. So that is why you don`t see them anymore. |

| Dodo birds are birds that couldn`t fly and lived on an island in the Tropics. I think they are cute form the pictures I have seen of them. They have a big beak and little feet. They are sooo cute. Why don`t you check out a book on them in the library in your area. I think you might like them too! |
