The main religion of India is Hinduism.It is one of the worlds oldest religions. Unlike most religions, Hinduism does not advocate the worship of one particular god. There are numerous gods and goddesses worshipped by Hindus. This practice is known as polytheism. The most fundamental to Hinduism is the trinity of Barhma (The Creator), Vishnu (The Preserver), and Shiva (The Destroyer).

Hindus believe that when they die they are born again. That is the belief of reincarnation. Their aim is to break free of this cycle of birth and rebirth. If you lead a good life, you are more likely to do this than if you are bad.
