Ludwig Van Beethoven
Born:1770
Died:1827
Beethoven was born in Germany in 1770. His first piano teacher was C.G. Neefe [from 1748 to 1798]. He began his career as a musician in Vienna in 1792 at the age of 22. His pieces started being published in 1794.
Beethoven learned that he was going to become deaf in 1802 and became completely deaf in 1820 when he was still under 30. His style of music changed a bit because he couldn't hear it, but his music always stayed classical. The advances made by Mozart in the art of writing pieces for orchestras was continued by Beethoven.
Beethoven never married. His figure overshadowed all of the 19th century music. He lived to be 57 years old and died in Vienna, Austria in 1827.
