Johann Sebastian Bach

Born: In Eisenach,Germany, 1685

Died: In Leipzig, Germany, 1750

As a young musician ,was walking one night when six of the kids that he taught piano struck him from behind. They had wanted him to say sorry to a child that he called,"nanny-goat bassoonist."( Someone who makes a bassoon sound like a goat.) He wouldn't take it back, and he took out a knife to defend himself. The fight was broken up before anybody was hurt.

Bach married his second cousin, Barbra Bach. In 1720 she died and he married Anna Magdalene Wilcken.King Frederick II called him,"Old Bach".

He wrote five passions, but only two are well known. Not only a great musician, but also a dramatic poet. Bach wrote about forty preludes and fifty fugues. Also, Bach wrote songs for the organ and harpsichord. His last piece was the art of the fugue.
